Classic Bulletboys Line-up to Reunite Once Again!

The last time the Bulletboys reunited was back in 2021 for some shows.  They did a sold-out run at one of their hometown venues, the Whisky A-Go-Go, as well as appearances at the M3 Festival, Rocklahoma, and shows with Stephen Pearcy, Winger, Slaughter, and Dokken, to name a few.  The shows were extremely well received by fans both old and new, but it wouldn’t be long before there would be trouble in paradise again.  Running tensions and unresolved issues seemed to throw a wrench in the gears, and before you could say “Smooth Up In Ya,” the band was done again.

In 2022, Mick Sweda went as far as to say that, “There are some intense foundational cracks.  I’m never going to do anything with Bulletboys again. It’s just been so… I don’t know what the right word is. I suppose that it’s just tainted by all the different people that have been in it. It doesn’t even make sense for me to even think about it… And it’s unfortunate because there was some good money coming with Bulletboys if we had stayed together.”

In December of 2024, bassist Lonnie Vincent rejoined the only remaining Bulletboy, Marq Torien, at the time current incarnation of the Bulletboys, and sometime in October, drummer Jimmy D’Anda announced he was rejoining the Bulletboys.  This left everyone wondering if guitarist Mick Sweda would be reuniting with his former compadres as well.  In mid-December, Mick Sweda announced that he would be rejoining the Bulletboys, as well, making the original, classic line-up complete once again.

Jimmy D’Anda said via his Facebook page,  “Everyone knows it’s a monumental task for bands to reunite, especially bands that have been fractured for years… Having said that, I felt there was unfinished business with my old band , BBOYS. After losing Ozzy, that shook me to my core … So LonnieMarq, and myself sat down at SALSA AND BEER and had a heartfelt moment of honesty and cleared some years of resentment (which we had never done before). I then sat down with Mick, the original guitarist, and asked if he’d come back; he had no desire to do so, and understandably so.”

A couple of months later, Mick Sweda posted on his official Facebook page, “I want to thank everyone who lent support for the very recent and unexpected development of yet another, and hopefully final, reunification of BBoys. And to those who might be puzzled and perhaps dismayed, I say you didn’t let me finish!! Seriously, though, business that wasn’t on the table before is being worked out, and the potential to work with guys I consider brothers after nearly 40 years outweighs the negativity. That said, see you in St. Charles tomorrow and Saginaw Saturday!! Luff and cheers!”

Bulletboys posted a message to the fans via their official social accounts:
