HOLY GRAIL COMPLETES NEW ALBUM ‘RIDE THE VOID’

Traditional heavy metal preservers (and Brainfart favorites) Holy Grail have announced that their sophomore follow up to 2011’s Crisis In Utopia has been completed. For their new Prosthetic Records album called Ride The Void, Holy Grail tracked with producer Matt Hyde (Slayer, Hatebreed, Children of Bodom) on and off throughout the year, working around national tours with Dragonforce and Valient Thorr. I cannot wait to hear this platter of facemelting awesomeness which will hopefully once again see Holy Grail living on the road for a couple of years and bringing it wherever they go. Lead vocalist James Paul Luna had this to say about “Ride the Void”:

“Album finished! You don’t know how good those words feel! Day after day and month after month, we’ve been listening back, tweaking and fine-tuning this wretched beast of an album we call ‘Ride The Void.’ Finally, after many hours in the cave, we can gladly say it’s done.”

For those that have been reading this site for a while, you’ll know just what an amazing band Holy Grail is. They are without a doubt one of the hardest working bands on the road and their live shows are always mindblowing and something that no true fan of metal should ever miss. Speaking of live shows, to celebrate the album’s completion, Holy Grail will be performing at L.A.’s Club Nokia as the support act for, well, let Luna tell you all about it:

“To top it all off, I woke up to an e-mail saying we’re opening for Sebastian Bach! WTF?! Sebastian is one of those rare dudes that was glam yet still kept it gritty and tough and that’s what I’m all about. I think it’s the Canadian in him that keeps him raw. Needless to say, we are thrilled to support a legendary voice such as his. And did I already mention the album is finished? Damn, still can’t get over that! Shred on!”

Ride the Void is tentatively set for a late fall release but stay tuned into The Great Southern Brainfart as I will have all of the late breaking announcements and news regarding Holy Grail’s forthcoming album and tour dates.
