Portland-based dark folk/singer/songwriter Emma Ruth Rundle has announced that she will be hitting the road to support her forthcoming album, These Killing Times.
Via her official mailing list, Rundle had this message for everyone:
Greetings, Fellow Humans-
I’m writing to you from my bed. It’s 1 am here. I just got home from seeing some truly inspiring artists on a stacked bill ( Cinder Well, Big Brave, The Body- on tour down the West coast.. if you’re around – go see this show) –
It’s hot and muggy here tonight, which is unusual for Portland. We even had thundershowers …and I was reminded of summers in Louisville. Many friends and acquaintances were in attendance tonight, and big hugs were abundantly distributed. There’s more I could say about tonight – but I digress.
The purpose of this email is to inform you that I have a new song and music video out today – “Enough” – the video was made…. I started to detail the process and list all the credits for this -and the song itself – but my hope is that you will watch the video and read the titles at the end – which I scrawled out old-school style and scanned in – all was handled by human hands. Mine and those of friends. I’m proud of that fact. I hope you dig it too. I’ll write another email soon about the concept and maybe the process – I digress yet again!
In addition to the video/song, I am announcing a headline tour of the USA
with Cinder Well ( who gave me chills for 45 min straight tonight!)
I will be playing with a full band in support of my new album, These Killing Times, but we are sure to play some of the older jams too. Anyway – dates below.

The tour, which will see Rundle performing with a full band, launches in Seattle on November 24th, passing through cities like Los Angeles, Nashville, and Boston, before closing down in Denver on December 19th.
An artist pre-sale is underway using the code FALL2026, with individual ticket links listed on Rundle’s official website. The headlining tour will follow a previously announced solo run supporting All Them Witches throughout the month of October. Tickets for that tour are available here.
Emma Ruth Rundle has also released the new single “Enough.” The song carries a muted and melancholic alternative rock atmosphere, feeling at times like a hybrid of Mazzy Star and Tori Amos’ early material especially with its strong use of poetic color. Both the song and video burst into tortured gothic melodrama for the closing several minutes, with Patrick Shiroshi’s howling saxophone intermingling with fuzzed out guitar emulating a bad opium dream before closing back with the more controlled but still quite gothic atmosphere that opened the song.
Rundle said of the song, “‘Enough’ is inspired by the ‘Man Who Sold the World’ – and in a retelling of the story of Elijah, we imagine him as an Elon Musk type figure – we ask – is not the whole world enough? We ask the many gods to unleash vengeance and carry this man away into the angry sky – piece by piece – this song is a reflection of the times we live in and is a vision for the dispensation of the billionaire class. The world belongs to all beings.”
