Rush Reschedules Fort Worth, TX Show After Being Denied Entry By Trump’s Border Gestapo.

Welcome to Donald Trump’s America, where even RUSH gets stopped at the border and refused entry back into the US. Seriously.  MOTHER FUCKING RUSH.  Seriously, this country has gone to hell in a bucket, and it just keeps getting worse. 

Rush was coming back into the US after two shows in Mexico City to begin their four-show run in Fort Worth, TX (of course, it’s Texas) as part of their 50-Something tour.  The news was released via Rush’s website (www.rush.com) and, unfortunately, has not been picked up by as many music news outlets as it should have been.  Here is the official statement from the band:

Due to unforeseen travel and border-related delays impacting our touring production following our recent Mexico City tour dates, tonight’s show in Fort Worth at Dickies Arena has been rescheduled for Thursday, July 2.

All fans holding a ticket for tonight’s June 24 show will be able to use that same ticket for the rescheduled performance on July 2 at Dickies Arena.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding given this circumstance out of our control.

Fans who are unable to attend the rescheduled date may request a refund through Ticketmaster if tickets were purchased there. For tickets purchased through other outlets, please contact your original point of purchase for assistance.

The Fifty Something tour will resume as scheduled for the remaining dates, and we look forward to seeing everyone starting this Friday!

Rush’s 50-Something tour kicked off on June 7^th with four sold-out shows at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, CA, where they blew minds with a stellar group of setlists backed by new drummer Anika Nilles.  Nilles has quickly won fans over with her style of drumming as well as her remaining faithful to the stylings of departed drummer/songwriter Neil Peart (RIP.)
