Atlanta’s Brother Hawk Covers Alice In Chains’ “Nutshell” and It Will Blow Your Mind

I can’t believe I nearly let this Brother Hawk EP slip under my radar. Their 2019 EP Big Trouble Sessions showcase Brother Hawks diversity and what I consider to be the best alternative take on southern rock.

While the entire four-song offering is what I consider to be a masterpiece, the two stand out tracks on the EP are “Like Water” and an awe-inspiring cover of the Alice In Chains classic “Nutshell.”  What a brilliant fucking recording and this cover of Alice in Chains’ “Nutshell” is done so well that it really lets BH’s southern roots shine through an already beautiful song.
