This year, Christian Mistress will be returning with their long awaited follow up to 2012’s Possession entitled To the Death. Christian Mistress has released a video for the song “Open Road” and I have to say that I fucking love it. Decibel Magazine had this to say about the video:
With a VHS aesthetic and cars older than the band members themselves, plus an enigmatic antique mirror, vocalist/director Christine Davis creates an uncanny world that feels like something you’d find on a worn-out tape in a dusty corner of an old video store. It’s awesome, of course. It’s the real deal for anyone who likes early Iron Maiden and husky-voiced singers – which should be everyone.
Christian Mistress will be embarking on an extensive world tour in support of To the Death which will be released on Relapse Records on September 18th. Christian Mistress will be joined by High Spirits, Sabbath Assembly, and Savage Master. This tour is one to not be missed!
