Psychedelic Folksinger Marissa Nadler Releases a Cover of THE BAND Classic, “Whispering Pines” Via Bandcamp

Nashville based psych/folksinger/songwriter MARISSA NADLER released a new song today via Bandcamp for “Bandcamp Friday.” on the first Friday of each month Bandcamp celebrates with Bandcamp Friday. Bandcamp Friday supercharges the already generous revenue share to Artists and Labels by increasing the amount shared from 82% up to a whopping 93% so this is the time to show your support or independent artists.

The song Marissa has released a cover of The Band’s 1969 classic “Whispering Pines” written by The Band’s keyboardist/vocalist Richard Manuel and The Band’s founding leader and primary songwriter Robbie Robertson.  Marissa had this to say about the song:

>Written by Richard Manuel and Robbie Robertson, “Whispering Pines” was first released in 1969 by The Band. Over 50 years later, this songs is still as hauntingly beautiful
I collaborated on this song with composer and multi-instrumentalist Rob Burger. Robbie Robertson recently passed away, and Richard Manuel did long before that. I’ve been a massive fan of The Band since I started writing songs.

Marissa also has a fantastic Patreon Page that offers some really great incentives such as personally drawn artwork, merch, and access to remote performance from a song to a full concert once a month (on average).  You can check out MARISSA NADLER’S PATREON PAGE here.
