HAPPY SARAYA SATURDAY!

Every since my 2021 interview with former  Saraya vocalist/songwriter Sandi Saraya, I was floored by the responses I got from all over the world.  From Los Angeles to Peru and all places in between, my interview with Sandi Saraya proved to be my most successful interview that I’ve done to date.  Hailing from New Jersey, Saraya was a powerhouse hard rock band that, in their short lived stay, would release two albums in the late ’80s/early ’90s that would make a huge impact on hard rock fans all over the world earning them a diehard cult following that is going strong over 30 years later.

Some readers contacted me to tell me that they enjoyed my “Saraya Saturday” posts last year.  I didn’t do much with it but this year, Saraya Saturday is back!

This time around we have the song “Look the Other Way” from a collection of unreleased Saraya demos.  Not a whole lot is known or has been said about these demos other than they were all recorded sometime between 1982 and 1989.  A lot of demos were recorded before the recording of Saraya’s 1989 self-titled debut and while I’m not sure how or when these demos began to surface, I’m so glad they did.  This is a great song that would’ve not only sounded great on the debut album but I could’ve even heard this one situated nicely on the never recorded third album.
