FLEESH is a Brazilian rock project formed in 2014 by Gabby Vessoni and Celo Oliveira. Influenced by such bands as Marillion, Genesis, Rush, Pink Floyd and many others including Virginia based prog metalers BRAVE. As you all know I am a huge BRAVE fan and have been for nearly 10 years and I’ve always thought that they have been a sadly underated and overlooked band. Hearing that this folks from Brazil were actually inspired by BRAVE to start a band is something truly special. No matter how many gigs you get or how many Kickstarter campaigns you launch and succeed at, to hear that you inspired someone from another part of the world to form a band is priceless and trumps everything.
The collaboration features Gabby and Celo (core members of FLEESH) and Trevor and Michelle Schrotz of Brave. The end result was remarkable and FLEESH had this to say about it:

Around 2003, Celo discovered a band called Brave on the internet and he immediately fell in love with their music. Specially with their album called “Searching for the Sun”. Back then, Michelle’s voice was one of the reasons why he wanted to create a band/project with a female vocalist.
Many years later, between 2018/2019 while chatting to our friend Bruce, we found out that he knew the guys from Brave so he introduced us! So we started talking and we decided to collaborate on something together.
So, this is how our version of “Candle in the Dark” was born!
We’d like to give a huge THANK YOU to Michelle, Trevor, Scott and everyone on Brave for doing this with us! You have no idea how happy we are for sharing this! And also give another huge thank you to our friend Bruce for making this all happen!!!!
