As you all know, I’m a Stryper fan and have been for decades. Even though their bible thumping lead vocalist Michael Sweet blocked me for calling him out on being a Trump supporter, a supporter of biggotry, and homophobia, I still hold a place in my heart for their music. The shit was played incredibly, their albums always sounded great, and honestly, they were better than many of their peers.
In 2017, long time bassist Timothy Gaines was served his walking papers to which he had plenty to say such as, “My recommendation to Oz and Bob? Grow some balls and stand up to that pathetic one and his conniving wife, or just continue to live a life of mediocrity,” he wrote. “You both have been threatened with termination over the last several years. He has a million-dollar home. You rent and drive twenty-year-old broken-down cars. You both have NOTHING to show for your thirty-five years. Quit playing rock star and get a clue.”
Since then, Gaines has moved on to two of the most absolutely ridiculous things a human being could do. He PROUDLY joined Aldo Nova’s “comeback” band and launched probably the most ridiculous clothes line since Affliction, American Bassist.

Oh well. I actually thought Tim Gaines was a cool motherfucker the way he came out guns blazing at Stryper and calling Michael Sweet out for being a two faced bitch but with shit like this, I can’t put Gaines much further ahead. He’s just another Trump loving, gun loving, asshole with an agenda. Good riddance dude and have fun playing in Aldo Nova for 30 people a night.
