I’ll be honest with you. As much as I love running this fucking blog, sometimes it can be a real fucking bummer for me. I wish I could only count on two hands how many shitty bands I have to wade through on any given week but every now and then, once in a heavy metal blue fucking moon, a band pumps it’s fist through the muck and coming in to save me from this daunting shit show. Well, that is exactly what happened when I hit play on Enforcer’s latest album From Beyond.

From Beyond as a whole is a stellar album that is packed to the brim with classic, no frills music that is undoubtedly inspired by the NWOBHM bands of old. One listen to this album and you’ll feel like you were whisked back to a time where the metal was heavy, the vocals were over the top, the guitar playing ripped your face off, and the songs were chockfull of amazing riffs and hooks that made the hair on your balls (or coochie, if you have hair down there) stand at full fucking attention.

As “Destroyer” filled my room, I literally felt as if a super hero band burst through my office wall exclaiming, “Don! We are here to protect you from all that sucketh!” Before I could even wrap my head around what the fuck I was hearing, the 2nd track “Undying Evil” just brought a huge smile to my face and had me banging my head and thanking Thor above for the very existence of this band. By the time the six minute epic “Below the Slumber” was starting I found myself asking, “Where has this band been all my fucking life?”

Enforcer, much like the bands that inspired them, are here to make a bold statement. That statement is that they are here to make some of the best fucking metal that they can make. Enforcer is just a reminder for an old fuck like me that the metal that I grew up on and loved so much will never die. As long as bands like Enforcer are around, you can rest assure that true metal will never die and Enforcer will be one of the bands standing at the forefront of the battle swords drawn, shields up, and heads held high. Long live heavy metal and long live Enforcer.
