Trash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/southeastofheaven.com\/?attachment_id=9703\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-9703\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-9703\" title=\"Alice-Cooper-Trash\" src=\"https:\/\/southeastofheaven.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Alice-Cooper-Trash-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>Alice Cooper \u2013 Trash<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Release Date<\/strong>: July 25, 1989<br \/>\n<strong>The Good<\/strong>: Poison, House of fire, Only My Heart Talkin\u2019, Bed of Nails, Trash<br \/>\n<strong>The Bad:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>The Indifferent<\/strong>: Spark in the Dark, Why Trust You, This Maniac\u2019s In Love With You, Hell is Living Without You, I\u2019m Your Gun<\/p>\n<p>The late 70\u2019s and early 80\u2019s was not the best of times for Alice Cooper.\u00a0 Alice went from being on top of the world to literally being a drunk who was barely able to even stand up on stage.\u00a0 After 1983\u2019s <em>DaDa<\/em> album, Alice disappeared from the world.\u00a0 In 1986, Alice resurfaced clean, sober and ready to reclaim his crown and throne with <em>Constrictor<\/em>.\u00a0 The tours were selling out but when <em>Constrictor<\/em> and it\u2019s follow up <em>Raise Your Fist and Yell<\/em> failed to crack the charts, the record company did pretty much what they did with Aerosmith in the same situation.\u00a0 They hired outside writers to come in and give Alice some hits!<\/p>\n<p>1989\u2019s <em>Trash<\/em> was the album that put Alice Cooper at the top of the charts.\u00a0 The album boasted a slick, polished production of catchy tongue in cheek songs as opposed to the anthem tinged metal of his previous two albums.\u00a0 This album presented Alice to a much broader audience and I remember loving this album.\u00a0 The debut single \u201cPoison\u201d was a top 10 single co-written by Desmond Child and it\u2019s still one of my favorite Alice songs to hear live.\u00a0 I remember listening to this album all the time as a kid but it\u2019s disappointing to hear it 20+ years later.<\/p>\n<p>Trash does not stand the test of time as well as it\u2019s follow up <em>Hey Stoopid<\/em> but its still got a handful of great songs.\u00a0 The Cooper\/Child\/Joan Jett penned \u201cHouse of Fire\u201d is another one of those infectiously catchy but fun songs why \u201cOnly My Heart Talkin\u2019\u201d kind of reminds of a classic Alice Cooper ballad such as \u201cYou &amp;
