in 2004 and hit the road opening for heavyweight bands like Van Halen and Motley Crue. They managed to release “I Ain’t Comin’ Home” as a single and it went to #6 but then they just faded into oblivion.

What really drew me into Silvertide and loving this album so much was the fact that they took all of their influences and meshed them together into one bad ass goulash. “Show and Tell” is testosterone driven cock rock at it’s best. The opening track and debut single “I Ain’t Comin’ Home” is pure adrenaline unleashed and literally sounds like pure pent up energy. “Devils Daughter” is another uptempo crotch rocker reminiscent of AC/DC in all the right ways. “So Fucking Crazy” has the band pulling out their darker Black Sabbath influence while songs like “California Rain” and “You Want It All” show their ability to write with a bit of pop sensibility to cater to a younger audience. Add to the mix their homage to Mother Nature with “Mary Jane” and you’ve got an album that covers all of my favorite elements of kick ass rock and roll.

Silvertide had all of the elements of a band that should have made a mark. They had a singer who could sing his off, guitar players that played like motherfuckers and rhythm section that was so tight and that it was sick. The songs on “Show and Tell” are well written, well crafted pieces of rock and roll archaeology that I hope will be unearthed by those looking for a great rock and roll album. This isn’t brain surgery or deep thinking shit. This is fucking rock and roll at it’s dag nastiest. You gotta get this one if you don’t have it. It’s an unsung classic.

Silvertide –
