{"id":20861,"date":"2024-08-01T15:08:27","date_gmt":"2024-08-01T19:08:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.southeastofheaven.com\/?p=20861"},"modified":"2024-12-19T09:46:46","modified_gmt":"2024-12-19T14:46:46","slug":"deadheads-for-kamala-to-mark-jerry-garcias-birthday-with-kamala-harris-fundraiser","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.southeastofheaven.com\/?p=20861","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Deadheads for Kamala\u2019 to Mark Jerry Garcia\u2019s Birthday with Kamala Harris Fundraiser"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Leave it us Deadheads to spearhead a movement for something that we are all passionate about.\u00a0 While I had zero hand in this planning, you can bet your sweet ass that I will be attending <strong>Deadheads for Kamala<\/strong> virtual event on August 13th.\u00a0 While Jerry Garcia&#8217;s birthday is actually August 1st, because of the limited amount of organizing time, the virtual call on the 13th will definitely be in honor of the life of Jerry Garcia and the hope, promise, and compassion of Vice President Kamala Harris.<\/p>\n<p>The virtual event, slated for <strong>Aug. 13,<\/strong> will celebrate Garcia\u2019s birthday and aim to mobilize attendees to help elect Harris for president this November, according to the event invitation.<\/p>\n<p>It will be hosted by David Gans, the host of the radio program \u201cThe Grateful Dead Hour,\u201d and Steve Leventhal, the owner and host of Acid Flashback Radio, per the invitation.<\/p>\n<p>The event marks one of the various efforts to shore up financial support for Harris, who launched her presidential campaign less than two weeks ago following Biden\u2019s exit from the race. He endorsed Harris, who quickly shored up Democratic support and spurred excitement in the party. Harris\u2019s campaign said it raised $200 million within a week of Biden announcing he would stand aside.
