Let the Festivities Begin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I absolutely love it when a band pops up on my radar that offers something completely different from what I\u2019m usually listening to.\u00a0 London instrumental masters <strong>Los Bitchos<\/strong> did just that with their debut album <em>Let the Festivities Begin<\/em>.\u00a0 Comprised of bassist Agustina Ruiz, guitarist Serra Petale, drummer Nic Crawshaw, and bassist Josefine\u00a0 Jonsson, Los Bitchos delivers an instrumental collection of songs that boast a wide variety of cultural music such as Peruvian, Turkish, and even some traditional Asian infused surf guitar rock.<\/p>\n<p>Kicking off with \u201cThe Link Is About to Die\u201d sets the tone for the album for what I can only describe as a fun, wild ride.\u00a0 Actually, it\u2019s not so much of a ride as it is a \u201870s style car chase or on-foot chase through crowded streets while the girls duck and weave to avoid being caught for what is most likely having too much fucking fun.\u00a0 \u201cPista (Fresh Start)\u201d pretty much sounds like the girls dipped into a Taqueria for a few margaritas to celebrate the getaway and then crash the stage to jam out a song.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLas Panteras\u201d is the stand-out track for me could be the soundtrack for a lost Coen Brothers or Tarantino flick.\u00a0 It has the vibe of an old-school \u201870s heist film only to take a sharp turn into a mashup of traditional Asian music with some Cuban percussion and funk.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t even know why I am attempting to put this album to words.\u00a0 Like Bob Weir sang in the Grateful Dead song \u201cThe Music Never Stopped,\u201d Los Bitchos is \u201c\u2026 a band beyond description.\u201d\u00a0 <em>Let the Festivities Begin<\/em> is fun, refreshing, and the perfect soundtrack to your next summer porch party.\u00a0 Los Bitchos delivered the album that the world so needed to hear in these dark times, and it reminds me of how much fun music can be.\u00a0Sometimes I forget that music can be just goofy, carefree fun, and Los Bitchos is here not just to remind me but to remind the world to smile, dance, and get those margaritas and tequila shots flowing.\u00a0 <em>Let the Festivities Begin<\/em>\u2026 I couldn\u2019t have said it better myself.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Los Bitchos - The Link Is About To Die (Live on KEXP)\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3ahCmDNbFkI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
