Heavy Metal God, author, pilot, beer maker, and philanthropist are just a few of the titles that Iron Maiden<\/strong> vocalist Bruce Dickinson<\/strong> holds.\u00a0 Now, he can add “Spoken Word Performer” to that list.\u00a0 Back in 2018 after the release of his 2017 memoir\u00a0 What Does This Button Do?<\/strong><\/em>, Bruce Dickinson set out to do some spoken word performances that had him reading excerpts from the book.\u00a0 These readings began taking on a life of their own and what started out as readings and musings turned into full on spoken word performances complete with impromptu a-Capella performances of songs from both his solo career and Iron Maiden and a Q&A session.\u00a0 The Q&A portion is where fans were asked to write down their questions so Bruce could pick from them and answer them.<\/p>\n

The demand for more of these performances, as you can imagine, were extremely high but the surge of the Covid-19 global pandemic brought it all to a halt.\u00a0 Well, have no fear because it was recently announced that starting in January of 2022, Bruce Dickinson will be bringing his “An Evening With…” spoken word tour to the US and Canada.<\/p>\n

Split into two parts, the first section of the show sees Bruce taking a humorous and often satirical look at the world from his own very personal perspective, treating the audience to private insights into his drive and ambition, peppered with plenty of Maiden anecdotes, and a myriad of other experiences encompassing not just the giddy heights but also the extreme lows, told first-hand in his inimitable anarchic style, punctuated with photographs and sometimes even erupting into song a-Capella, to illustrate a point.<\/p>\n

The final section of the evening is devoted entirely to a Q&A session, with the opportunity to pose questions on any subject whatsoever. As Bruce\u2019s answers will all be completely improvised \u2013 the more left-field and quirky the question, the more interesting and compelling the response is likely to be!<\/p>\n
