Savage Master \u2013 Myth, Magic, & Steel<\/strong>

There is nothing more amazing than watching a band grow up right before your eyes and getting to experience that growth from the very beginning.\u00a0 When I first heard of Savage Master they were opening for Christian Mistress.\u00a0 It was their first extensive tour and while I could tell that they were a bit green, I just knew that this was a band that I needed to be keeping an eye on.\u00a0 Since then, the band has released two amazing albums and their 2019 release Myth, Magic, & Steel.<\/p>\n

In all honesty, when a band is about three albums deep, I start to get a bit nervous.\u00a0 I find myself asking, \u201cWill they top the last album and have they grown?\u201d\u00a0 Myth, Magic, & Steel opens with the title track and, as always, the opening riff comes soaring out of my speakers with, what I consider to be, a now signature Savage Master sound.\u00a0 Their spin on Grim Reaper inspired riffage never gets old to me but what really took me back on this song was Stacey Savage\u2019s voice.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Owl\u201d is a great example of how Savage has taken a new approach to singing and I fucking love it.\u00a0 It\u2019s great to hear her breaking out of the box and pushing herself into a whole new direction.\u00a0 Singing in a higher register than normal, Savage still manages to keep that dark undertone while breaking away from the comfort zone of her usual screechy NWOBHM inspired vocals (which I love also).<\/p>\n

\u201cFlyer in the Night,\u201d the first single off of Myth, Magic, & Steel was the perfect choice to preview the album to fans.\u00a0 It\u2019s catchy, it\u2019s heavy, it\u2019s melodic, and it\u2019s just an all out great song.\u00a0 I can hear this one going over really well live but it\u2019s the song \u201cLady of Steel\u201d that is without a doubt the showstopper on this song.<\/p>\n

Stacey Savage totally breaks every chain that has ever held her back because this is Metal Goddess level awesomeness.\u00a0 If someone were to come up to me and ask me what Savage Master songs to listen to first, I would without a doubt say \u201cLady of Steel\u201d and then \u201cDeath Rides the Highway.\u201d\u00a0 This is a song that I cannot wait to hear live as I feel that this one will stand taller than anything they\u2019ve done and that is not an easy accomplishment.<\/p>\n

Myth, Magic, & Steel is without a doubt one of my favorite albums of 2019 and is a contender for a spot in my 10 favorite albums of 2019.\u00a0 Savage Master grows by leaps and bounds with every album.\u00a0 Relentless touring, quality metal, and a live show that will give you a neck ache for three days, Savage Master has steadily become a band to be reckoned with and they are a band that has fought for and earned their position in the top tier of underground Metal bands.\u00a0 If this album is any indication of what lies ahead for us in the coming years, we better strap in tight because it\u2019s going to be a loud, intense ride.<\/p>\n
