{"id":18369,"date":"2019-04-11T15:57:33","date_gmt":"2019-04-11T19:57:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southeastofheaven.com\/?p=18369"},"modified":"2019-04-11T15:57:33","modified_gmt":"2019-04-11T19:57:33","slug":"atlanta-metal-gods-paladin-sign-with-prosthetic-records-debut-first-single-shoot-for-the-sun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.southeastofheaven.com\/?p=18369","title":{"rendered":"Atlanta Metal Gods Paladin Sign with Prosthetic Records, Debut First Single \u201cShoot for the Sun\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been saying this for years!\u00a0 Paladin is one of three best metal bands in all of Atlanta and to FINALLY see them get some recognition is fucking amazing.\u00a0 I am so proud of them and all of their hard work!\u00a0 Paladin, fronted by master songwriter and Arsis touring guitarist Taylor Washington, and rounded out by Alex Parra (guitar), Andy McGraw (bass), and Nathan McKinney (drums), signed with Prosthetic Records, who will release their highly impressive debut album, <em>Ascension<\/em>, on May 17.\u00a0 The band is a fine blend of Iron Maiden style NWOBHM with just enough tradition metal ala Holy Grail to make it all that much sweeter.<\/p>\n<p>Says Parra of the band\u2019s big news:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cWe are very excited to announce our signing with Prosthetic Records, a label that truly believes in the potential of the band. We signed with them in the Fall of last year and they have been nothing but pleasant to work with. After some unforeseen delays completely beyond our control, we are finally ready to release our debut album, \u2018Ascension,\u2019 a 49 minute onslaught of blistering Power Thrash incorporating influences from 80\u2019s Metal to Melodic Death Metal. The first single \u2018Shoot for the Sun,\u2019 is one of the more catchier songs off the record, also one of the more difficult songs to perform live!
