Slime and Punishment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Municipal Waste &#8211; Slime and Punishment<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Release Date: June 23, 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After five years flying below the radar, punk\/thrash kings Municipal Waste have returned to the game with <em><strong>Slime and Punishment<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 Kicking things off with \u201cBreathe Grease\u201d, right away I am reminded just Municipal Waste are the reigning kings of punk\/thrash crossover.\u00a0 At 0:49, \u201cEnjoy the Night\u201d starts and finishes faster than 16 year old dude getting it in for the first time, and \u201cParole Violators\u201d had me feeling like this was kind of a nod to X-Cops.\u00a0 If it wasn\u2019t intentionally that, I love the fact that it was an unplanned parallel.<\/p>\n<p>The stand out track on <em><strong>Slime and Punishment<\/strong><\/em> is \u201cLow Tolerance.\u201d\u00a0 I love the groove on this song and new addition of 2<sup>nd<\/sup> guitarist Nick Poulos brings this sweet twin guitar attack along with founding guitarist Ryan Waste.\u00a0 The instrumental \u201cUnder the Waste Command\u201d is a great showcase of this new (to Municipal Waste) guitar team.\u00a0 Having two guitars in the band new really has broadened the band\u2019s dynamic and has taken the Waste to a whole new level.\u00a0 So much so that I can\u2019t fucking wait to hear what some of the band\u2019s older material will sound live with this new dynamic.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Slime and Punishment<\/strong><\/em> is fast, fun, hilarious, but not stupid.\u00a0 It\u2019s the perfect metal album to escape to when things just seem to get too grim and serious.\u00a0 Listening to <em><strong>Slime and Punishment<\/strong><\/em> for me was like hearing from an old friend that I haven\u2019t heard from in a while only to be reminded just why I love them so fucking much.\u00a0 Here\u2019s the deal.\u00a0 I like my metal like I like my women: tight, heavy, and fast so if this is the case, <em><strong>Slime and Punishment<\/strong><\/em> is my ideal woman.\u00a0 Ok, that sounds kind of creepy but something tells me that Municipal Waste would be oh so proud of this description.<\/p>\n<p><iframe width=\"750\" height=\"422\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/paVC2vvMfUg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Municipal Waste &#8211;
