Hey Fartheads! Dig this. Every month this year I will randomly choose a Farthead of the Month. I have some truly awesome, dedicated, and awesome readers and I consider you all friends. Anyways, every month I am going to randomly choose a Farthead of the Month and if chosen, you will do a 12 question Q&A that will be featured as a post on the blog! This is your way to get semi-famous or at least give you the ability to brag that you\u2019re on a shitty metal blog!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I bet you thought I was gonna miss it didn’t ya? I know it’s the last day of the month but fuck it.\u00a0 It’s still January and better late than never right?\u00a0 Our first Farthead of the Month for 2017 is none other than Michelle Schrotz from the band Brave.\u00a0 As you know, I’m a huge fan of Brave and it just so happens that Michelle is a big of the Brainfart… as she should.\u00a0 Anyways, have fun reading about one of the greatest honors ever bestowed upon Michelle and go check out Brave!<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n

My name is Michelle Schrotz.\u00a0 I\u2019m a wife, mother, professional by day and rocker by night with my band BRAVE.<\/p>\n

How did you discover the Great Southern Brainfart?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I believe you stumbled across us back in 2011.\u00a0 I think you were reviewing While Heaven Wept and discovered that 3 of us in WHW have another band BRAVE.\u00a0 You reviewed us and have been a huge supporter of us ever since (THANK YOU).<\/p>\n

What’s your favorite thing about the Great Southern Brainfart?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Love your honesty and opening saying your perspective.\u00a0 You don\u2019t say nice things all the time just to people please.\u00a0 Although sometimes really I fear for your safety.\u00a0 You need security when you go out!<\/p>\n

How did you first get into heavy metal?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My brother and I used to watch MTV\u2019s heavy metal half hour after school back in the day.<\/p>\n

What are your Top 5 metal bands?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hmmm, so hard to pick and I\u2019m not sure these are technically true metal?\u00a0 IDK…but here goes:\u00a0 The Gathering (plus Anneke solo), System of a Down, Pantera, Slayer (are we still friends? LOL) and Anathema.<\/p>\n

Ok for real I could never pick just one\u2026I have no idea.\u00a0 Any album by the above mentioned bands.<\/p>\n

My love of pink sparkles\u2026haha (but I\u2019m not joking). \u00a0Well let\u2019s face it everything about me is basically not very metal.<\/p>\n

If you could have dinner with any metal musician alive or dead, who would it be, what would you talk about, and what would you have?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I would love to chat with Anneke Van Giersbergen, she\u2019s one of my all time favorite musicians.\u00a0 I\u2019d love to take vocal lessons from her and ask her about her process for writing.<\/p>\n

You know the Christian Mistress tee that I won from a giveaway you did is super soft, I really like that one (but in all honestly have never listened to them!).\u00a0 Also love my Anathema concert tee.<\/p>\n

In your opinion, who is the worst metal band out there?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Oooh so hard for me to say something negative, I try to find the positive in everything.\u00a0 But I hear bad things about Watain and their nasty tour antics (and stinky lol) so I guess I\u2019ll go with them.<\/p>\n
