Resonate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Glenn Hughes &#8211; Resonate<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Release Date:<\/strong> November 4, 2016<br \/>\n<strong>Label<\/strong>: Frontiers Music<\/p>\n<p>Somewhere at the crossroads, Glenn Hughes must have made a pact with the devil.\u00a0 I\u2019m still trying to wrap my head around how a man who lived so many years on the edge has not only managed to stay alive but managed to have a voice that sound completely untouched by time.\u00a0 At 64 years old, Glenn Hughes has not only put out one his most youthful sounding albums but, from my stand point, he has put out probably one of his strongest pieces to date.<\/p>\n<p>With songs like \u201cHeavy\u201d and \u201cFlow\u201d, and \u201cGod of Money\u201d, Hughes refuses to be cast aside as a relic of the past.\u00a0 It\u2019s very clear that Hughes is an artist that keeps his ear to the ground, paying attention to the ever changing landscape of hard rock music.\u00a0 While it would be very easy for Hughes to just rehash the sounds of his former bands such as Trapeze or Deep Purple, he chooses to take new roads and the results are no less than remarkably stunning.\u00a0 While the album is chock full of outstanding hard rock gems, I love that Hughes takes into more melodic yet mellow areas with \u201cLet it Shine\u201d and the show stopping \u201cWhen I Fall.\u201d\u00a0 That song right there, had it come out in say 1990, could\u2019ve been a million seller chart topper.<\/p>\n<p><iframe width=\"750\" height=\"422\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/DMGTlbSVfUc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Glenn Hughes has no need for Black Country Communion or no need for California Breed.\u00a0 Glenn Hughes needs nobody or nothing but himself, a pen, some paper, and that voice.\u00a0 Resonate is proof that not only can you teach an old dog new tricks but that this old dog and give you a run for your fucking money.\u00a0 I think I set the bar so high for bands and it&#8217;s always a treat when they not only reach it but they grab it, pull it down, and hit you with it.\u00a0 That is exactly what Glenn Hughes did with Resonate and trust me, this album will resonate with anyone who loves good, honest soulful hard rock music\u2026pun intended.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Glenn Hughes &#8211;
