For nearly 30 years, Virgin Steele has been one of metal music’s unsung heroes. \u00a0In all honesty, people really dog on these guys for being corny and what not but a lot of these very people will flock to a Manowar show to pledge their allegiance to their baby oiled basement dwelling gods. \u00a0That aside, Virgin Steele is just one of those bands that I just can’t write off but at the same time they have never (and probably never will be) one of those bands that I place in my top tier. \u00a0With that being said, this doesn’t mean that they aren’t good. \u00a0As a matter of fact, I find Virgin Steele to be a really good band but this album is just another example of why I can only take this band in small doses.<\/p>\n

While the actual performances on Virgin Steele’s latest album Nocturnes of Hellfire are top notch, it is also an album that had me cracking up laughing at the same time. Do you want to have a blast at your next party? \u00a0Play the Virgin Steele Drinking Game. \u00a0Take a shot every time lead vocalist David DeFeis says “Rrraw!”,”Ow!”, \u00a0“Yeah!” or scream in his high ass falsetto voice. \u00a0This game is guaranteed to rule your fucking party because everyone will be absolutely shitfaced by the 4th song “Black Sun- Black Mass.”<\/p>\n
